I'm the Ugly Duck (2026)

1/5
For this project I created some interior book illustrations and a front cover for an adaptation of The Ugly Duckling fairytale. I was in charge of adopting the story and the sample text intended to give some insight into this adaptation's arc, and how it differs and relates to the original story. This version of the story follows a shapeshifter, Duck, who struggles with forming a sense of identity and is outcasted by the others around them who see them as a poser who tries to hard to fit in with them. It works as a metaphor for trying to find yourself and make important decisions in life - relevant to all ages but targeted towards adolescents and young adults.
